Manufactured 1864. Standard Civil War issue six shot, single action .44 with numerous military inspector stamps and cartouche on left walnut grip. Features full octagon barrel with Remington address, pinch front sight, blued finish, six shot, single action, original nipples, brass trigger guard, two piece walnut grips. Military inspector stamp "D" on left barrel, "R" on left frame, cylinder and lever; "D" on trigger guard, "M" on right barrel, frame and cylinder. Overall, revolver retains 30% original blue, balance grey patina. Traces of color on hammer. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Strong, clean bore. Very nice example of a Civil War Remington.
