This rifle is listed as the Model 1870/87/15. During WWI, nearly all of the remaining Model 1870/87 rifles were converted to use the 6.5x52 mm Italian service ammunition. A new magazine was installed that allowed use of a six shot clip. This was the standard rifle used by the Italian military during the First World War. Standard features: two twin barrel bands, bayonet lug on right side of barrel, cleaning rod, standard military rear sight, straight bolt, full length walnut stock, sling swivels. Matte blue brown finish, sharp legends, frame markings were polished off during conversion. Stock is very good to excellent. This rifle is in very good condition. Has the typical conversion repair in stock at the magazine. Strong rifling with powder residue.
