Manufactured 1916. This pistol features high polish factory blue finish with a couple minor hints of storage wear and some light high edge wear; still retains 98% original finish. Has the Colt gutta percha grips, Type IV last of the rubber grips. Features serrated magazine latch, near mint pre-war temper line magazine stamped "CAL. .380 COLT". Has the second type Colt logo as seen in figure 17, page 17 in the "Colt Pocket Hammerless" book by Brunner. 1916 was the last year of this pony. Has the Type E left side slide stamp used from 1914 to 1918. Near mint grips, bore and action. Comes in the original proper Colt box numbered on bottom to gun. Proper end labels. Box is very good to excellent and is intact with all aprons. Comes with original instructions and the rare booklet on the Colt Automatic Grip Safety (never seen). About as nice as they come.
