Manufactured 1870. All matching numbers including wedge. These later models were numbered in the 1849 range. Features full octagon barrel, no ejector rod or loading plunger, stagecoach hold-up Ormsby roll engraved scene, round brass trigger guard. Two line Colt address on frame and New York address on barrel. 70% stagecoach scene. Traces of nickel on brass. Frame colors patterned out. Balance of metal is a smooth grey patina. Legends are sharp. Excellent, original varnished one piece walnut grips. Indexes perfectly. Strong rifling with usual black powder abrasion. These early pocket models are always in demand with the Wells Fargo configuration.
