Manufactured 1847-50. Type II revolver with Texas Ranger and Native American cylinder scene. Features full octagon barrel, five shot cylinder with oval stops, Colt patent on left side of frame, brass square back trigger guard, brass backstrap. Octagon barrel has two line New York address. All matching serial numbers including wedge and cylinder. Only traces of cylinder scene still visible. Metal is basically grey patina. Sharp legends. No traces of plating on brass. Excellent varnished one-piece grips. Rotates and indexes fine. Strong, clean bore. These early pocket revolvers are extremely scarce.
