Introduced in 1911 and manufactured until 1941. This is a six shot, double action, blued revolver with a Patridge front sight and adjustable target rear sight. Sports a 6” barrel, has blued finish with case colored hammer and trigger and special two screw diamond checkered Bekeart style walnut grips with no medallion. Barrel is pinned but cylinder is not recessed. Matching serial number (391645) stamped on cylinder and barrel. The matching serial number is also written in pencil on right grip panel. This was built on the I frame with five screws and round butt. Cylinder has a very light drag line and a hint of wear at the muzzle but appears in almost as new condition both inside and out retaining at least 99% original finish with bright case colors and near mint grips. Action and bore are near new. According to the S&W book, this revolver was made prior to 1928. This example is nice enough for an original box.
