The byf code indicates that this pistol was manufactured by Mauser and is dated 1942. This pistol was manufactured for the German military in 1941 and 1942. Features: 4”, 9mm, "byf" stamped on toggle, "42" (date) stamped on chamber, "PO8" stamped on left side of frame, matching numbers on all parts, numerous Waffenamt stamps. Has checkered walnut grips which are not numbered and the black small parts with a nickel magazine with black plastic end cap. Sports a fine bore and action. This pistol remains in excellent condition retaining approximately 85-95% factory blue with normal edge wear. This has the same finish as the "Black Widow" with the exception of the walnut grips. Also accompanied by a 1939 dated original leather holster in excellent condition with tool and extra magazine numbered "5026".
