Manufactured in 1954-55. Comes with the original receipt dated 10-31-55. Features blue finish, six shot, double action, N Target frame, five screw, pinned barrel, Baughman front sight ramp, Gonzales non checkered target grips, adjustable rear sight, matching serial number on cylinder and barrel. Gun was sent back to Smith on 5-15-1961 for red sight insert and some timing issues. Total manufactured was 5050. Light drag line and a hint of high wear on cylinder, still 99% factory blue and case colors. Fine bore and action. Comes with proper era gold box but for a 6-1/2” gun but numbered to this gun in period markings and a mahogany display case. Also has all the original paperwork from sale and return. Beautiful and scarce in this barrel length.
