Standard revolver built on square butt target frame, four screws, pinned barrel and recessed cylinder with all matching numbers. The proper style diamond checkered magna grips are excellent and fit well but are numbered 116270. This gun was built in 1951 and features blued finish, six shot, double action, red insert on ramp front (installed by S&W 1978 per work order) and micro adjustable rear sight. A Mershon grip adapter is present. 99.9% original factory blue finish and case colors. Fine bore and action. Comes in the original Gold box with proper end label that is in very good to excellent condition with wax paper and tools. Revolver was sent back to Smith in 1978 for a cylinder timing problem and new front sight. All documented with receipts and return box is dated April 17, 1978.
