Nambu, series 2, Showa 19.8 manufactured March 1944-August 1945 at the ToriiMatsu Factory of Nagoya Arsenal. Dovetail front sight, polished bolt, round cocking nab with course knurling, blued magazine with pot medal base nine groove, serial 499, mahogany grips with 24 serrations 4784 stamped on both gripped panels (matching). This pistol has seen very little use. Metal still retains approximately 99% of the arsenal late-war applied finish, all matching numbers. “GI” initials carved on right grip panel CLC. Comes in its original waxed canvas clam-shell holster inscribed inside “10.13.45 MITO Japan” along with original Japanese Kanji. Also comes with an additional magazine #784 with a lanyard and holster tools.
