These were manufactured from 1871-88 and were one of the first magazine repeating pistols introduced. It is a five shot .32 rimfire x-tra short. Remington address stamped on top of barrel. It is finished in factory nickel with walnut grips and retains at least 90% original finish with some typical age freckling. The magazine cap is brass. Grips are excellent. The rear cocking mechanism still retains virtually all of the bright nitre blue finish. Strong rifling present. Fine working condition. Very difficult to find in fine condition as only 10,000 were manufactured and few turn up in higher grades. It is housed in a lovely more contemporary box with Art Nouveau lady decorating the top and is French fitted with green velvet lining.
