Manufactured 1918. This is typical 1918 U.S. Army issue Colt with all proper markings for period. Has the eagle S12 Ordnance Type I inspector stamp on left side which is also marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Right side of slide is stamped "MODEL OF 1911 US ARMY". Has proper checkered slide stop, safety, wide spur hammer, flat mainspring housing and lanyard. Replacement proper style diamond checkered walnut grips. Razor sharp markings. Overall pistol retains 95% of the expertly reapplied blued finish. Barrel is a High Standard marked post-war replacement. Fine bore and action. This comes with an original web belt, first aid pouch and a leather 1912 Cavalry style holster.
