The Bullard lever action sporting rifle was considered the finest of its type ever manufactured, but expensive manufacturing spelled its demise. Approximately 10,000 were made between 1886-1890. This rifle features the special order half round, half octagon barrel, 28”, caliber .40, serial no. 7059. Standard features include: blue finish, full magazine, sporting sights, walnut stocks with case color lever and hammer. The barrel and tube retain 95% of an older re-applied blue finish. The frame retains the same amount with some flaking on left panel, razor sharp frame markings, excellent original walnut stocks proud to metal. Case colors have darkened. Fine clean bore. Extremely handsome, rarely seen large frame special order Bullard rifle.
