Manufactured by Mauser for the German military from 1936 through 1940. This pistol is dated 1936. Features: blue finish, straw colors, "S/42" stamped on toggle, "1936" date on chamber, checkered walnut grips (not numbered), aluminum bottom nickel magazine numbered 4522. Numerous Waffenampt stamps. Inside grip frame is import stamped. Serial no 9426. All matching numbers. Overall pistol retains approximately 75 to 80% original factory finish with overall high edge wear and thinning on barrel and straps. Generous straw colors. Grips are very good to excellent. Fine bore and action. Fine condition as used WWII era Luger.
