Manufactured by DWM for the German Army from 1914 – 1918. Features: 8” barrel, 9mm, serial no 242, dated 1917 on chamber, DWM in script on toggle, blue finish, straw parts, walnut grips, 9 position adjustable rear sight, all matching numbers including the walnut grips. Pistol remains in excellent all original condition. Fine turned front and rear signs. The rear strap is a blue gray patina, front strap is thinning, overall high edge wear, retaining approximately 85% overall original blue finish. Pistol has a fine bore and action. Generous straw colors. Wood bottom magazine is mis-numbered. This pistol is accompanied by its entire original dated leather and wood shoulder stock/holster/rig. There is no cleaning tool. Has the loading tool present. Leather is excellent. Imperial marked wooden stock. These artillery Lugers, especially with the matching rig, are extremely desirable. The holster in this set is dated 1916. Very fine all original rig and pistol.
