Barrel is dated 4-30. The bolt is finished in the white and it is electro-pencil etched "67712". There is no rear sight but there is a barrel and frame mounted set of AO blocks. Has a front sight sleeve with target globe installed. Sports a Lyman 48 receiver sight. Pistol grip walnut stock, no finger grooves. Has both sling swivels. The buttplate is checkered rubber (aftermarket). A photograph of an NRA 1903 sporting rifle with mounted blocks can be seen on page 211 of the Brophy book. The buttplate is not listed in the Springfield book, it was probably added later. It also has a Jaeger trigger that was added later. Rifle is in excellent condition. Barrel and frame retains approximately 90% original blue finish. The rear barrel band has been custom altered. The stock is near mint with two reinforcing bolts. Rifle also sports the headless cocking piece. Strong clean bore.
