Offered is the standard service rifle of the United States Army. The inspector "JSA" stamp on left side of stock dated "1901". Stock also has the Serif "P" proof on bottom of wrist. The condition of the walnut stock is simple phenomenal. This stock is beautifully grained and is in near mint original condition. The frame is a mottled gray with 40% fire blue on extractor. The barrel is a soft factory original blue. 20% blue on forend cap. Strong, clean bore and perfect action. The trigger guard is a soft gray patina.
