This rifle was manufactured in 1937 during the third year of production. Standard features of the deluxe model include full round barrel, ramp front sight, rear sight blank, half magazine, blue finish, sling swivels and deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stock with straight comb, checkered metal butt plate and Winchester grip cap. Rifle sports a Williams’ receiver sight. Barrel and tube retain approximately 95% original blue with a few minor storage scuffs. The frame retains approximately 95% blue with high edge wear, some plum to loading gate and a bit of thinning at base. Stocks are excellent with a few minor bumps. Action is perfect with a strong clean bore. This is a very nice example of a pre-war deluxe Model 71.
