Barrel is stamped "SA533". This rifle dates to 1928, and sports an A-1 pistol grip, walnut stock with no cartouche stamps and two reinforcing bolts. The hand guard has the cutout for the A-0 scope locks. Second block is mounted to front bridge. Rear sight removed. Lyman 48 receiver sight installed. Nickel steel stamped bolt. Blued finish. Barrel is not star gauged. Wood stock is near mint. Metal retains 90% plus of the original factory blue finish. Has a serrated trigger. Finely checkered trap door butt plate and original sling swivels. All milled parts. Trigger guard and floor plate have flashes of blue but are mostly brown patina. Strong, clean bore and perfect action. Comes with a brass AGA English muzzle cover. This beautiful pre-war 03 is set up for a high quality target tube scope. Can be fired as is with peep sight.
