Manufactured in 1919. In 1978, gunsmith Robert Crawford created new fajan wood fancy grade American walnut hand checkered stocks in the original Fox pattern for this lovely pre-war shotgun. Gun sports 27-5/8” blued barrels with sold rib. Fine bores. Retains approximately 75-80% original blue, starting to thin and mix gray. Trigger guard was re-blued. Frame has 80% re-applied color. The forearm is a splinter style. Stock is a straight comb. The wood is incredible as to finish and fancy grain. Lock up is tight as new. Very handsome early Sterlingworth.
