All matching numbers. The Trojan was introduced in 1912 as a less expensive shotgun. The water table is stamped “OV” in an oval which is only seen on Trojan models. Another feature of the Trojan is that there is no metal on the outside of the forend. There is no engraving and the checkering is simpler. These changes allowed Parker to offer this model at $25 in 1912 compared to $37.50 for the VH which is the next grade up. The Parker Brothers logo on the frame is hand engraved. The top rib of barrel is stamped “PARKER BROTHERS, MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TROJAN STEEL”. A total of 33,005 Trojans were manufactured from 1912 to 1939. This shotgun was manufactured in 1915 so it’s a very early fourth year production Trojan. Features full matted rib, single bead, manual standard ejectors, case colored frame, double set triggers, splinter, checkered walnut forend with pressure release, pistol grip checkered walnut stock with straight comb, and Parker Brothers black composite buttplate with owner shield. All matching numbers. Barrels retain approximately 70% original blue mixing with gun metal gray. Frame exhibits traces of case color on the outside, bold on inside. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal with razor sharp checkering. Near new in appearance. Mirror bores and tight as new lock up. Very handsome old Parker.
