In 1978, the team of Lyman and Ruger created the Lyman Centennial rifle to commemorate the first 100 years. This special rifle was built on the Ruger No. 1 falling block action. Special features include the extra heavy full round barrel, full length scope blocks in lieu of sites. Special laser engraved frame. Right side engraved “Lyman 1878-1978” with a deer. Left side is engraved “Lyman 1878-1978 Centennial Edition II”. Other features include beautiful checkered oil finish, pistol grip and a walnut stock with solid rubber red recall pads. All metal finished blue comes with a special Lyman century model 3/4” tube scope that measures 34-1/4”. Included in this set is a Lyman Centennial journal, a box of Lyman un-primed brass, a single cavity 45 caliber bullet mold, a complete set of three loading dies, a metal cleaning rod and a 3” Lyman Centennial medallion. Edition number is L-78-0416. This entire outfit is housed in a beautiful green felt lined French fitted walnut display case. Near new condition but wood does have a couple of minor storage marks. This is a beautiful set.
