The renowned NY firm of Griffin & Howe built this incredible rifle using the large Mauser action as it’s basis. Features: full round barrel with ramp front sight, 8 1/2” barrel rib with Griffin & Howe logo and safari folding sights to 300 yards and finely stippled. The bolt is jeweled, the bolt knob and trigger are finely checkered. The floor plate and trigger guard are blue. The Claro walnut stock is finely hand-checkered with contrasting black forend tip and pistol grip cap. A sling eye is set into rear butt and on barrel band and sports leather covered solid pad. The stock is typical English style with straight comb and small rollover cheek piece. Fine bore and action. This is one of the most handsome safari rifles ever built by Griffin and Howe, sans engraving. The current cost and wait time to have a rifle like this manufactured would be years and upwards of five figures. Why wait when this masterpiece is available now.
