The model 1865 was produced in 1865-1866. Very popular rifle during the Civil War features round barrel, post front sight, ladder rear sight with walnut stocks. All metal surfaces are dark deep-brown patina missing the saddle ring. Carbine is made with the stabler cut off, stud removed. This carbine is all deep-brown patina while the stocks are very good with numerous abrasions. Fine action. Strong three groove rifling with black powder abrasion.
