Twin Damascus steel barrels with single brass bead and solid matte rib marked "FINE DAMASCUS STEEL/IXL No. 18", with rib extension and English proofs on bottoms. Sidelock hammer actions both scroll engraved and marked "F.A. LOOMIS" in banners and "IXL/No. 18" on lockplate tails, within ovals. Double triggers and extractors. Plain walnut straight buttstock with shaped checkered panels and splinter forearm with Deeley release. Brown Pachmayr recoil pad. Actions are tight and function well. All steel components are refinished and have some scattered marks from use. Stock refinished, some light scattered marks, pistol grip cap chipped. Bores are very good and shiny, barrels retain a brown patina with some dark spots and freckling. This Birmingham made shotgun would be a great shooter!
