Manufactured in 1950. Yet another shotgun once owned by fame Canadian trap shooter, John Evans. This is a 28 bore skeet gun with a Simmons specialty doughnut base vent rib, a Cutts compensator, blued finish, factory engraved receiver and deluxe checkered walnut stock with pistol grip and Winchester cap with an old Pointer red pad. The engraving on both sides of this shotgun can be seen on page 41 in use from 1924 to 1964. Metal on this fine shotgun retains approximately 98% original blue. The trigger guard is engraved "R.A. Smith" who was a trap shooter of note from Kansas City who began his career in 1967. A beautiful pigeon grade in high condition owned by two famous trap shooters. The tube is not stamped with pigeon. Fore-arm does not have standard pigeon grade checkering. Barrel stamped skeet cutts is add on, not factory.
