Manufactured in 1948. Offered is a lovely standard grade early post-war Model 70 in the popular .257 Roberts cartridge. This early rifle features rust blue finish barrel with rear collar and ramp front sight (Rear sight removed). Matte finished receiver. The bolt has the matching etched serial number. This rifle has the standard pistol grip, checkered walnut, straight comb stock in every good to excellent condition with usual high edge wear, bumps and bruises. The barrel retains approximately 90% original blue, as does the frame. Floor plate retains approximately 75% blue and the trigger guard remains at 20%. Rifle sports sling swivels and a checkered metal buttplate. Fine action and a strong clean bore. This rifle sports a Bushnell 4X scope.
