Steiff's menagerie of animals is legendary but nowhere more evident than in the production of large studio pieces. During the late 1950's - late 1960's stores such as FAO Schwarz burst with Christmas displays, showcasing jungle, farm and circus creatures. The 38" long mohair, circa 1960, studio baby zebra with luminous glass eyes appears to emerge from the African plains inviting adventure. The very manageable size of the zebra is perfect for taking teddies for a ride.
