Manufactured 1894. This rifle is considered a half-plate. The nose cap, frame, lever, trigger, hammer, bolt, and buttplate are all nickle plated. Tasteful engraving on the frame, nose cap and butt plate with deer vignettes. Features blued octagon barrel, full magazine, replaced sporting sights, with King rear and varnished stocks. The engraving, while not factory, is very well executed with scroll and punch dot. Generous amounts of reapplied nickel remains. Barrel retains 90% of the reapplied blue finish. Tube and band are thinning. Stocks are excellent with added finish. Buttstock has a few dark stains and a brass plug in butt. Bore is strong and clear. Fine action. Left side of barrel and tube extending 6 - 1/2" from muzzle. Rifle as some storage spotting and would benefit from some attention.
