Manufactured 1907. This special order Model 1885 features the scarce full heavy No. 4 octagon barrel, blued frame, pistol grip, set trigger, deluxe high gloss checkered walnut stock with cheek piece and plated Swiss buttplate. Sights include hooded wind-gauge, mid-range tang and Winchester sporting rear. Blued frame with case colored hammer and lever. Octagon barrel has wear on high edges with 90% blue mixing with beautiful plum. Sides of frame retain approximately 85% original high polish blue. Traces of color on lever. The highly finished checkered stocks are near mint with usual bumps and bruises. Fine action. Strong, clean rifled bore. Very difficult to find in this caliber with the heavy barrel in this condition. Serial No. 104822 on March 18th, 1907; record is blank. CORRECTION: Louis Yearout Collection
