Manufactured 1884. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, blued finish, set trigger, sporting rear sight, folding globe front sight (Beach), takedown; case colored frame, hammer, lever, forend cap and buttplate; blued dust cover with blued long range tang sight and straight grip oil finished walnut stock. Stock has a few minor bumps. Retains virtually all of the Turnbull quality expert restoration with 100% complete brilliant case colors. Beautiful and scarce rifle. Very good rifling and fine action. Factory research indicates Serial No. 156259 shipped as .22 caliber with octagon barrel, case hardened with graduated peep and Beach, on September 6th, 1884.
