This contemporary trade musket is copied after the early 19th century trade muskets and has been aged to have a very authentic and period look. Three stage smoothbore steel barrel with threaded removable touch hole and crude sights on top. English style flintlock trade lock with engraved scrolls and stamped "LOTT". Brass furniture including the classic serpent sideplate and an iron triggerguard with over-sized bow. Plain walnut stock with Native American style tack-decorations and carved panels around lock, sideplate, and barrel tang. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod with rope-burned decoration. Excellent condition with some light wear and spotting on lock and barrel. Brass retains a mellow patina. Great for a reenactor or for an authentic looking and affordable example.
