These early & rare spurs are double-mounted, with floral engraving on the outside of the heelband and traditional stripes pattern on the inside. The figure eight shanks are 3-1/2" silver inlaid rowels in a classic 8-point star with a spiked rowel pin. Original 3-D embroidered pitiado (cactus fiber) spur straps with sombrero conchos. Some original charcoal bluing. Circa 1870s.
