This bisque headed child doll was manufactured by Schoneau and Hoffmeister in the mid to late 1930's. Certainly a most appealing face with blue glass sleep eyes, great facial molding, beautiful creamy bisque and prized by children of the time period, as well as collectors today. Marked on rear of head "Porzellanfabrik Burggrub Princess Elizabeth 6-1/2. Made in Germany D.R.G.M." She is on a jointed five piece toddler style composition body with original finish. Possibly in all original condition, dressed in white cotton undergarments with a white knit dress and over sweater, she retains her light brown curly mohair wig. Bisque head is free of hairlines, eye chips, other damage.
