Extremely Rare and Fine California Gold-Quartz Waltham 18k rose gold 54mm hunting case pocket watch, Circa 1890's, The cover is beautifully decorated with eight inlaid panels of gold quartz with alternating shades of pink and white surrounding a hand engraved relief of a California bear in yellow gold, The reverse is decorated with a wonderful but subtle hand engraved border, lever set, 21 jewel, 18s Waltham "Vanguard" movement #7021241, white porcelain-enamel double sunk dial with black roman numeral hour markers, red Arabic minutes and blued steel spade hands, watch is in excellent working order, gross weight 89.4 dtw.
