Production of the Old Model Blackhawk 44 was between 1956-1962. This revolver was from the first year production run. It sports a round nickel barrel and ejector housing with ramp front and adjustable rear sights, fluted six shot nickel cylinder, nickel frame and two piece ivory grips with Ruger logo. Gun retains 95% of the original factory applied nickel finish. Faint high edge wear, a slight cylinder drag line and a rub spot on the left side of the barrel. Crisp single action that indexes and locks up tight. Mirror bore with sharp lands and grooves. This gun has not been updated with a hammer block. A scarce first year production nickel gun.
