Manufactured by Mauser in Oberndorf Germany for the Nazi Army. BYF was the code for Mauser and 44 was the year of manufacture. These were made to replace the Luger. Features include dovetailed front and U notched rear sights, black two piece plastic grips, blue semi-automatic action and eight round unnumbered detachable box magazine. This is an all matching numbers gun without any import stamps. It is "WaA135" stamped on the left frame and right side of the slide. Gun retains approximately 95% of the factory original applied finish, with just high edge and muzzle wear. Mirror bore with sharp lands and grooves. Comes in a 1941 dated hard shell P38 Holster with an extra magazine. This magazine is numbered 5763b and is not matching to the gun.
