Manufactured 1877. This was the first double action that Colt produced and made in three different calibers. B. Kittredge gave these guns the nicknames "Lightning", "Thunderer" and "Rainmaker" to boost sales. This gun is a first year production gun and a "Lightning". Features consist of German silver front sight, two piece hard rubber grips with rampant Colt logo, fluted six shot cylinder and bird's head grips. It retains 10% of the original finish with the balance a grey patina. Gun works in double action only.
