Manufactured 1884. This was the first double action that Colt produced and made in three different calibers. B. Kittredge gave these guns the nicknames "Lightning", "Thunderer" and "Rainmaker" to boost sales. This gun is a "Thunderer". Features consist of half moon front sight, two piece hard rubber grips with rampant Colt logo, fluted six shot cylinder and bird's head grip. Early etched panel with fire blue screws. This gun retains 70% of the original nickel finish with the rest a gray patina. Gun works in double and single action. Includes a single loop holster.
