Manufactured 1897. This was the first double action that Colt produced and made in three different calibers. B. Kittredge gave these guns the nicknames "Lightning", "Thunderer" and "Rainmaker" to boost sales. This gun is a "Thunderer". Features consist of half moon front sight, two piece hard rubber grips with rampant Colt logo, fluted six shot cylinder and bird's head grip. This gun retains 25 % of the original blue finish with the rest a smooth gray patina and 5% of the case color in protected area's. Gun works in double and single action. Includes a double loop holster and cartridge belt. Manufactured by Colorado Saddlery in Denver.
