Referred to as the bird's head grips style, both guns have the ribbed octagon barrel and are listed as the New Model. Manufactured circa 1870. Both revolvers feature octagon barrel with ribbed ejector, five shot single action, spur trigger, nickel finish with case colored hammer and black rubber grips. Both retain between 90-95% original nickel finish. Grips are excellent to near mint. Lock up is tight as new. Visible rifling in both bores with minor black powder abrasions. The pair are fitted in an old wooden case with one partial and one full UMC cartridge boxes. The lid has an old stag handled hunting knife attached. Box has an outer brass design, which is obviously re-purposed.
