Manufactured 1847-1850. Type II features an octagon barrel with a two line barrel address. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder and wedge. Cylinder is a smooth brown patina; features oval cuts and no visible cylinder scene. Colt patent stamped on left side of the frame with some erosion and wiped-on finish. Excellent original one piece walnut grips with the majority of varnish. Has a square back trigger guard. 75% original plating remains on the trigger guard with initials "LL" carved in and 40% original plating on the back strap. Indexes fine with tight lock-up. Strong rifled bore. This revolver includes an original eagle flask and a tin of Eley caps.
