This is a lot of eight powder horns of various sizes and styles. The most noteworthy example is a small engraved horn, measuring about 7 - 1/2" and dated 1837, wooden plug is uniquely carved and horn body is decorated with an anchor, a ship, a face, a bird, and several folk art symbols. The lot also contains four small 19th century priming horns, one with a brass measuring spout. There is also a medium sized flat horn with pivoting spout and powder reservoir with window and a small hunting or shot bag. The last items include a small copper pistol flask in very good condition with some light denting, marks and a large reproduction engraved horn featuring animals and flowers. All horns show some wear and scattered marks commensurate with their age.
