Gun (A) Unmarked, War of 1812 era, English flintlock pistol with round brass smoothbore barrel, marked "LONDON" on top and stamped on left side of breech with British proofs. Reconverted lock is unmarked. Engraved brass furniture including S-shaped sideplate. Full length walnut stock. Fair condition with scattered marks from use. Lock has a grey patina with scattered areas of pitting and triggerguard bow has been replaced. Stock shows scattered chips, wear and small areas of replaced wood. Gun (B) Continental brass barreled pistol with brass lockplate, converted to percussion. Unusual brass furniture with engraved designs, including buttcap with crescent moon radiating light. Walnut stock is the French style with checkered panel around grip and relief acanthus border around barrel tang. Good condition, as shortened during period of use. Scattered marks from use overall. These pistols both display well and are eye catching due to the brass barrels and furniture.
