Manufactured for the U.S. Government by Cranston with diamond and Dutch inspector star. Marked "7mm" under barrel. This was part of a 1,000 gun order for the Chilean government in 1941 and is the first batch manufactured and shipped. Features walnut stock and forend, checkered buttplate, heat shield guard, sling swivels, military sight and parkerized finish. Stock has no inspector stamp (correct). Mismatched numbers (correct). Rear sight stamped "M2". Retains the majority of its original parkerized finish with minor aging. Stock is very good to excellent with minor dings. These were imported by Navy Arms in the early 70's from Chile and is so stamped on the barrel. Fine bore and action. Includes an original scarce bayonet and leather frog. CORRECTION: This is stamped 7mm.
