Manufactured for the U.S. Government by Cranston with diamond and Dutch inspector star. This is part of the first order of rifles shipped. Marked ".30-06" on barrel bushing. Features walnut stock and forend, checkered buttplate, heat shield guard, sling swivels, military sight and parkerized finish. Stock has no inspector stamp (correct). Mismatched numbers (correct). Bright bolt (correct). Rear sight stamped "M2". Retains generous amounts of its original parkerized finish. Stock is very good to excellent with minor dings. Fine bore and action. Includes an original scarce bayonet, leather frog and an original World War II sling.
