Lot contains a Nazi era Police NCO sword (A) and a 19th Century Prussian sword (B). (A) The Police NCO “Unterfuehrerdegen” has a 33” blade made by “Paul Weyersberg” of Solingen. The fittings are nickel plated. A Nazi Police emblem is fitted in the grip. The scabbard is black painted steel with nickel plated steel fittings. A police sword knot is attached to the hand guard and the scabbard hanger is present. The unsharpened blade has numerous areas of freckling and scattered light marks. The hand guard exhibits areas of wear with scattered light marks. The scabbard retains about 75-80% of the original black paint. The sword knot is intact and undamaged. The sword hanger’s black leather loop is damaged and cannot attach. (B) The lot also contains a 19th Century Prussian court sword with leather scabbard. The sword has a 33” partially engraved blade marked “E. Sachs, Hoflieferant, Berlin” with a brass hand guard. The engraving has a floral pattern with Prussian infantry gear and what appears to be a medical cross. Mounted to the hand guard is a nice Prussian eagle. The eagle is mounted to the guard with three bent over pins, of which two are remaining. The black leather scabbard has brass fittings. No markings are present. The unsharpened blade has several areas of wear and scattered light marks. The black leather scabbard is intact and undamaged exhibiting the original finish. The two brass fittings have several dings on the side. Both swords will display nicely.
