According to the factory letter, this revolver was shipped July 7th, 1882 to the M.W. Robinson Co., New York City, with 6" barrel, nickel finish and checkered black hard rubber grips. The star by the serial number indicates it was returned to the factory for rework and refinishing; this would have been when the target sight, wood grips and blue finish were added. Inside grip frame has refinishing date stamped inside "4-28". This is a six shot, single action, tip-up with high target front sight and target rear sight. Barrel and frame have 90% brilliant factory blue. Cylinder has 50% blue. Blue-plum patina on straps. Smooth walnut grips with "16513" written in pencil on left panel. Grips are excellent and fit nicely. Sharp barrel legend. Fine action and lock-up. Strong, clean bore.
