Factory letter states this gun was shipped April 7th, 1977 to J.L. Galef Co., New York City with a 4" barrel, blue finish and checkered walnut square butt grips. This shipment was for five units, all the same. Manufactured 1974-1976. This revolver was introduced in 1964, built on the square butt N frame, three screw, six shot with pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. Many of these revolvers were shipped to police departments making them extremely difficult to find in good condition. Aside from light drag line, this gun is in near new condition inside and out. Strong case colors on hammer and trigger. Proper style silver medallion checkered walnut grips numbered "153853". Comes in a properly labeled blue box with all paperwork; box is numbered "234910" (not matching).
