This is a very early revolver with the "44 CAL."stamp on left trigger guard and blade front sight. Barrel has strong factory legend. Barrel and loading lever retain approximately 90% of the period reapplied nickel with sharp legends. Cylinder has traces of nickel in the flutes. Frame retains approximately 40% nickel. Straps and trigger guard retain approximately 75% nickel. Revolver sports a pair of well-fitted ivory grips. Indexes fine with strong rifling, but there is a ring in the barrel 1" from muzzle.
